CAAS Accreditation

In 2005, Lancaster EMS received national accreditation from the Commission on Accreditation of Ambulance Services (CAAS), and has since been recertified by CAAS every three years. CAAS accreditation is a marker of excellence in the ambulance industry, and the accreditation standards often exceed those established by state or local regulation. Lancaster EMS is one of only six ambulance services in the entire state of Pennsylvania to achieve CAAS accreditation, and is the only CAAS-accredited ambulance service operating in Lancaster County.
