Field Supervisor

Lancaster EMS is seeking a dedicated Field Supervisor to join our team. In this role, you will oversee daily operations, ensuring the delivery of exceptional emergency medical services while supporting our team of providers. This position is crucial for maintaining our high standards of care and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily operations of emergency medical services in the field
  • Ensure compliance with protocols and quality standards during patient care
  • Provide guidance and support to EMTs and paramedics on scene
  • Coordinate with local hospitals and other agencies for optimal patient outcomes
  • Participate in training and development programs for staff
  • Assist in the implementation of new policies and procedures as needed
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of active prehospital experience as a Paramedic/PHRN
  • Must have a post-secondary degree, or a minimum of 4 years of experience as a Paramedic/PHRN and complete a post-secondary degree within 3 years of hire
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure in dynamic environments
  • Knowledge of quality control processes in healthcare is a plus
  • Effective both independently and in a team dynamic
  • Valid Pennsylvania driver's license
  • Must pass all applicable background checks

Community Paramedic Program Provider

Lancaster EMS is currently recruiting a Full-time Community Paramedic Program Provider.

The ideal Community Paramedicine provider candidates will possess strong assessment, communication and customer service skills, have an understanding of chronic disease management and available community resources, be self motivated, demonstrate effective time management and the ability to work independently to complete all required tasks. Community Paramedicine allows Paramedics, EMTS and LPNs to operate in expanded roles by assisting with public health, primary and preventative services for patients, underserved populations and the community. The goals of Community Paramedicine are to improve access to care and health outcome while preventing duplication of services. Providers will complete one on one in-home visits after patients are discharged from the hospital, identify barriers to care and assist patients to overcome them, perform in home blood draws and wound care. The CPP will also make referrals to community resources, provide education and empower patients.

Qualifications:

  • Must be 18 years old or older
  • High school diploma or G.E.D
  • CPR Instructor (training provided)
  • PA Paramedic, EMT, or LPN certification or Licensure
  • ISBC CP-C within 1 year (training provided)

We pay a starting wage of $22.25-28.25/hour for full-time Community Paramedics.

Overnight Wheelchair Van Attendant

As a Wheelchair Attendant at Lancaster EMS, you will play a vital role in transporting non-ambulatory, wheelchair-bound individuals. This position is essential in ensuring safe and comfortable transport for individuals requiring wheelchair assistance, directly contributing to our mission and community need.

Responsibilities

  • Safely load, secure, and transport passengers safely in wheelchair vehicles
  • Ensure wheelchairs are properly maintained and sanitized before use
  • Provide excellent customer service to individuals and their families during transport
  • Collaborate with medical staff to ensure patient comfort and safety during transport
  • Anticipate unexpected delays and demonstrate strong problem-solving ability

Qualifications

  • Ability to assist individuals with mobility challenges effectively
  • Experience in a healthcare or transportation role is preferred but not required
