Community Paramedic

Lancaster EMS is currently recruiting a Full-time Community Paramedic.

Lancaster EMS delivers top quality clinical care supported by a highly engaged medical director, modern equipment, and a peer-driven performance improvement team. As a dynamic organization, Lancaster EMS is an area leader with a mental health sedan transportation service line and a rapidly evolving Community Paramedic Program. Lancaster EMS serves as an AHA Training Center while also providing numerous educational offerings.

Ideal Community Paramedic candidates will possess strong assessment, communication and customer service skills, have an understanding of chronic disease management and available community resources, be self-motivated, demonstrate effective time management and the ability to work independently to complete all required tasks.

We pay a starting wage of $20.00/hour for full-time Community Paramedics and are currently offering a $5,000 sign-on bonus (w/2 year commitment).

Wheelchair Van Attendant

Lancaster EMS is currently recruiting Wheelchair Van Attendants.

Wheelchair Van Attendants are responsible for the safe and professional transport of wheelchair bound, non-ambulatory individuals to and from physician offices, procedural appointments, outpatient centers or offices, and similar transportation requests.

Ideal candidates will demonstrate strong customer service skills, a professional attitude, be flexible and self-motivated, utilize downtime efficiently, and provide a high quality experience in line with the Lancaster EMS mission and values.

To be considered, applicants must be over the age of 18, have a high school diploma or G.E.D., possess a valid PA driver's license, a clean driving record, and complete all applicable background clearances. One year of wheelchair van or para-transit experience is preferred.

We pay a starting wage of $12.00/hour for full-time Wheelchair Van Attendants, and are currently offering a $3,000 sign-on bonus.

EMTs - Emergency Medical Technicians

Responding to over 38,000 requests for service annually, Lancaster EMS delivers top quality emergent and non-emergent clinical care supported by a highly engaged medical director, modern equipment, and peer-driven performance improvement team.

Lancaster EMS EMTs are responsible for the full spectrum of out of hospital emergency and non-emergency patient care and transportation at the Basic Life Support (BLS) level as outlined in the PA EMS Act and as defined by the PA Department of Health scope of practice.
